Sobibor
A Nazi death camp situated near Lublin in Poland. Constructed in 1942, approximately 250,000 Jews were gassed there. On 14 October 1943, 300 prisoners escaped to the nearby forests following a revolt against the SS. The SS killed the prisoners who remained and the camp was demolished.
