P-T
Race
A group of people said to have a common ancestry and with similar features such as skin, eye or hair colour. There are said to be three main races of people, and scientists in the Nineteenth century tried to subdivide these further. The Nazis went on to try and create a pure Aryan race that they thought was superior to all others. It is apparent, however, that there is no such thing as a pure race; people have been mixing since time immemorial.
