P-T
Proportional Representation
A political system in which parties are represented in the government according to the percentage of their votes. If one party gets more than 50% of the votes in an election, they have an overall majority; this allows them to run the government by themselves. If no single party gains more than 50%, then the one with the most votes has to try to make an alliance, or coalition, with other parties.
