Jewish Emigration office established


The Central Office for Jewish Emigration was established in Vienna, Austria, to encourage Jews to leave. Adolf Eichmann headed the office. He proceeded by stripping the Jews of their assets, forcing them to seek assylum elsewhere, usually with the aid of a Jewish organisation. By this stage many were only too pleased to leave. The problem was where to go?
