A massacre takes place in Kluga camp in Estonia by the Nazis shortly before the Soviet troops liberate the camp. 2,900 jewish inmates are shot and also 100 Soviet prisoners of war. When the Soviets arrive on 28 September they find only 85 prisoners alive, who had survived in hiding during the chaos before the Nazis left.
