Genocide

Over 150 million people were murdered in the last hundred years, many by weapons more sophisticated than ever before. We have also seen mass murder and genocide become far more frequent. The murder of innocent people based upon their ethnic origin is known as genocide. The Holocaust was a genocide.

Among the many genocides that have taken place, the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler gives particular cause for concern. The Nazis created a racial state, where terror and persecution became the norm in the heart of western civilisation.
